Lutheran Air and Ground
Lutheran's mobile intensive care units put the hospital on wheels or in the air so that patients can receive critical care treatment while on the way to the hospital. Pediatric patients are accompanied by the transport team, which includes an emergency room nurse certified in pediatric advanced life support, a respiratory therapist and an emergency technician. Newborns and babies who weigh less than 10 pounds are transported in a temperature controlled isolette and are accompanied by a neonatal intensive care nurse and respiratory therapist, in addition to a neonatologist, when necessary.
The hospital works in conjunction with hospitals throughout the region to ensure timely transport of pediatric and neonatal patients.
